Brief Description: The Talkatora Indoor Stadium is strategically located in Willingdon Crescent Road in Central Delhi. It was recently upgraded and re-inaugurated on 25th February 2010 showcasing a new and vibrant look during the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The stadium connects to a tunnel which was used by the athletes and is equipped with facilities that include an acoustic domed ceiling, video screens, scoreboard and sports lighting. All the materials that were used to re-do this Stadium are environment-friendly and devices are energy-efficient transforming the stadium into an eco-sensitive and green arena.
Facilities within the Talkatora Stadium include one Competition Arena, competition ring with four warm-up areas and a seating capacity for over 3035 audiences. It also offers all the facilities apt for a modern sports complex including an indoor sports stadium that is popular for hosting games like basketball and table tennis. The stadium is also popular as a practicing ground for people from all walks of life and of all ages including Sportspersons residing in the Capital city. The stadium also served as one of the venues that hosted several sports events during the 2010 Commonwealth Games. It hosted the Delhi 2010 Boxing event.
