Aman Resort, Delhi
Rooms and suites at the nine-storey Aman Resort in New Delhi reflect a modern design seen in its structure. All the floors are covered by handmade rugs and rich dark timber panels with dim lighting to enhance the mood of the place. The terrace and exteriors of the Hotel showcases traditional Jaali screen work that imitates the Mughal architecture.
There are 31 Aman Rooms and 8 Two-bedroom Aman Suites while the Lodhi Suites are housed in a five-floor structure facing the pool, central garden and hotel courtyard and there are 7 Single-Bedroom and Two-bedroom Lodhi Pool Suites and 7 three-bedroom Lodhi Pool Suites. Each Room opens onto a bedroom and living area furnished with a king size bed, a day-bed that sits outside on the room’s terrace on the edge of a private plunge pool, reading chairs and writing desk, table and bar area. The dressing area and the bathroom are separated by a sliding screen and the bathrooms are equipped with a shower, bathtub, twin vanities and separate toilet while 11 Aman Deluxe Rooms are housed on the top three floors offering a better view of the city.
The Aman Resort serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with afternoon tea. The menu features a variety of Indian and Thai cuisines with French Kaiseki at the Naoki counter. A leather-panelled Lounge is the ideal place to unwind as it serves classic cocktails, snacks and an extensive selection of wines. The ‘Tapas’ Lounge offers an informal setting and serves a selection of authentic Spanish tapas over a central serving area with elevated seating arrangement whereas guests can enjoy a wine tasting session at the Wine Cellar with cigar humidors. Guests can make use of the Hotel Library that features a wide selection of rare books on Delhi, historic, photographic works and many more along with wireless internet access.
Another place to be at Aman Resort is the ‘Cigar lounge’ that features comfortable leather armchairs on which guests could relax and enjoy a drink with premium cigar. One can also make use of the Aman Spa to rejuvenate and enjoy a massage in any of its eight private Treatment Rooms or get a new Hairdo at the Beauty Salon. One can also use any of the two traditional Hammam Steam Baths or relax in the Bamboo Garden Relaxation Area while one can also take a dip at the Hotel Swimming pool and enjoy light Indian snacks or Continental snacks at leisure. The Hotel’s Health centre is set on a sunken courtyard and offers fitness and recreational activities like Tennis and Squash. It also has a Pilates Studio and a Gymnasium.
Average rate is Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 99,000 PP on a Per day basis (excluding taxes and subject to change and availability). These rates include complimentary transfers between the resort and the IGI Airport or any one of the Railway Stations in Delhi.
