DMRC starts double-line operations on the Grey line route today

delhi information

From today, the Najafgarh & Dhansa grey line route will have automatic signalling for the metros travelling both up and down the line.

Services on this route have previously been manually operated through a single line, a DMRC representative said.

The Grey line's new automated system will speed up movement and cut down on wait times.

The Grey Line's travel time between Dwarka and Dhansa Bus Stand will also be reduced drastically by around four minutes, to about eight minutes.

On November 21, there was a brief delay in the metro services due to the testing of the Grey line between Dwarka and Dhansa Bus Stand segment.

"From tomorrow, services on this line will be available with a headway of 7 minutes 30 seconds during peak hours (from the present 12 minutes) and 12 minutes (from the present 15 minutes) during off-peak hours," a senior official stated.

The Delhiites have shown enormous understanding. They have been very cooperative.
