Introduction

The Imperial Hotel is one of the grandest Hotels in Delhi with an ancient history and hence is a legend in itself. It was built by its owner, S. B. S. Ranjit Singh and today is managed by his grandsons, Sardar Hardev Singh Akoi and Sardar Jasdev Singh Akoi (present owners) who run it under the banner of M/S Akoi Saab. It was designed in the typical blend of contemporary Colonial Style and Victorian Style of architecture by Bloomfield in 1931 AD, who was an associate working under Sir Edwin Lutyen, the famous architect of the ‘New Delhi’ City.
